It takes about 3-4 months to heal. In about 2 days you should feel less pain unless you end up banging it. Now is the most logical time to get this piercing. It will be healed by fall and hat season. You shouldn’t submerge the fresh piercing when swimming for the first 2 weeks. After that you should be fine to swim as long as there is no irritation present.
